It’s been a light week. A crazy week. A week of poisoning, anti-buckets, and psychology. And a week of goodbyes.

Not to Medium, though. Oh, no. You’ll not be rid of me that easily!

Goodbye to 2022, and now a fond and hearty hello to 2023 — we made it, everyone!

Highlights of The Last Week

Endings are sometimes difficult, but nearly always reflective. I’ve seen a lot of stories this year that took this path from various angles, each one just as valid as the others.

Angles like Carrie Morrison beginning the hard journey to healing from familial dysfunction:

Or Lorna Dolan’s reminder that some goodbyes are heart-wrenching; some are left behind, but never forgotten:

Not long ago, See Cat was battling against the cold, dark hand of grief as well… though I’m sure it’s still ongoing:

Reflecting on “bests” from Captain Obvious’s newest discovery (one I didn’t know about myself):

And lastly, ItsAlwaysRightNow advises we learn from our dinosaur cousins and use our resolutions wisely:

Endings are sad, and some are darker than others. If you’re having a hard time right now, don’t be a stranger. We care. I care. We can tackle the world together. I will grieve with you, laugh with you, hurt with you.

Share these things. Release the pressure on your burden that pins it up inside you. No, it won’t change reality.

Yes, it will feel better.

I am with you.

And if you just want to distract yourself for a little bit, that’s ok too. Here’s my last week’s stories to help you out with that:

Last week’s stories by TAM:

And because it’s all out in the open now, here’s the article I wrote from a different account (Kiki Lu Johnson):

This new year should prove to be interesting — cards on the table, I’m feeling pretty excited about the months to come!

Goodbye to 2022!

Until next time, follow each other, follow the dopamine, and follow yourself, always!
